The Santa Clarita Valley Concert Band was formed in 1984 to serve two purposes: to provide accomplished adult amateur musicians a local forum where they could use and further develop their musical skills, and to provide the community with an accomplished musical resource. Today the band has 50 members from high school age to senior citizens. The band rehearses weekly all year round and performs an average of 12 times each year.

The concert band is one of the most flexible types of musical groups in existence; capable of performing virtually any type of music. Recent performances have included: classical selections, rock and roll, jazz, big band, ragtime, show tunes, marches, country, and folk music. Our library contains over 750 musical arrangements and is continually being expanded.
